Ouarzazate Known Into Desert Gate
Ouarzazate is known by many as the gateway to the desert. Their paths traveled by caravans trasaharianas long, connecting Marrakech to Timbuktu. Its name comes from the Berber and meaning ‘no noise’. A perfect definition to speak of a land where peace is strained every corner. Something that has become the ideal destination for those seeking to find peace in a world entirely different from theirs.
If something haunts in Ouarzazate, Morocco and South, are his landscapes, full of contrasts, tones and colors. Unrepeatable prints straight out of a story and that any visitor will be surprised. Images that are completed also with the Kasbah (fortified houses) and Sour (walled villages) of adobe buildings that seem unimaginable birth of their land and convey to those who visit at another time. Ouarzazate is impossible without going away from, for example, the Kasbah of Tiffoultoute or of Knar of Aid Benhaddou. Two iconic pieces with which to enjoy the traditional local architecture and a good advance on the famous route of the 1,000 Kasbahs.
As in the rest of the way, Southern surprises at every turn with their culture and traditions. In Ouarzazate will become irresistible to buy any carpet, cane basket, pottery or any other local crafts with which to remember every glance was a day away from the world.
