Secretary of State for Tourism, Joan Mesquite, said yesterday in an interview with El Periodic de Cataluña that the club is the “perfect candidate” to promote Barcelona, Catalonia and Spain. Ferrusola, speaking at a gathering of Cataluña Radio, has acknowledged that it would like “nothing” to serve as the Catalan club to promote the brand hook Spain.
“If you give money, catch it,” said Ferrusola to justify that the club has closed a deal with Qatar. An agreement with Spain, in his opinion, “would not be the same” because “they want to impose the signal of Spain” and because the club “is to Catalonia.”
